1.Nature of the service
BorrowBay is an online listing and communication platform that helps people in Solapur discover items available to rent and contact each other. We are not a rental company, agent, broker, insurer, or escrow service. We do not own, inspect, deliver, or guarantee any listed item.
2.Payments and deposits
All payments, including rental charges and security deposits, are arranged and exchanged directly between the users involved. BorrowBay never receives that money and cannot reverse, guarantee, refund, or recover it. Users are solely responsible for agreeing on the payment method, collecting deposits, issuing refunds, and keeping their own proof of payment.
3.No liability for fraud or loss
To the maximum extent permitted by law, BorrowBay and the owner of this platform are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss caused by another user, including fraud, misrepresentation, non-return of items, damage to items or property, accidents, legal violations, or personal injury. You use the platform and transact with other users entirely at your own risk.
4.User responsibilities
You confirm that you are at least 18 years old, that information you provide is accurate, and that you only list items you legally own and are allowed to rent out. For vehicles, both parties are responsible for valid licences, registration, insurance, and compliance with traffic laws. Verify the other person's identity and condition of the item before handing over money or goods.
5.Verification badges
A verification badge means a document was manually reviewed by our team. It is a signal of good faith only — it is not a guarantee of a user's honesty, solvency, or conduct, and it does not shift any responsibility to BorrowBay.
6.Cancellations and refunds
The refund tiers below are the community guideline both sides agree to follow. Since BorrowBay does not hold funds, actually returning money is the owner's responsibility.

The security deposit is always returned in full unless a damage dispute is resolved against the renter. Requests that are still pending can be cancelled free of charge, and if an owner cancels, the renter is refunded 100% including the deposit.
7.Prohibited use
Do not use BorrowBay for illegal activity, prohibited goods, harassment, spam, fake listings, or attempts to move users off-platform to defraud them. We may suspend or remove any account or listing at our discretion.
8.Content and data
You keep ownership of the photos and text you upload, and grant BorrowBay a licence to display them in the app. How we handle your personal data is described on the

9.Disputes between users
Disputes about damage or deposits can be raised in the app and reviewed by our admins. Any outcome we suggest is a good-faith mediation opinion, not a binding or enforceable decision, and does not make BorrowBay financially liable.
